Li Huan Wu (b. 1983) was born in Guangdong Province, People's Republic of China and educated in the United States. She studied post-modern and contemporary fine art at the School of Visual Arts and received her BFA as well as the Final Thesis Award and Alumni Scholarship Award for her portfolio there. After several years of studying the trend of fragmentation in Western post-modern art and the grotesque in contemporary art, Wu later became intrigued with the path of oneness in Eastern philosophy and beauty in Asian Art.

In 2008, she had met a Chinese medical practitioner in China that healed her and opened her eyes to the power of Chinese Medicine. She returned to New York City and started her studies of life energy (qi) in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Tai Chi Chuan. She attended the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine for Classical Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture), Chinatown Wellness Center for herbal medicine under Jeffrey Yuen, and H. Won Tai Chi Chuan Association for Classical Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan under Sifu H. Won Gim.

Wu is currently a fine artist, children's book author and illustrator, and surface designer sharing her knowledge, passion, and influence from Eastern philosophy, Chinese medicine, and Asian art. Wu works predominantly with the medium of painting and drawing. She has been in group exhibitions at the Rubin Museum of Art, NurtureArt Gallery, and Visual Arts Gallery in New York. She received the Emerging Illustrator Scholarship at KWELI's Color of Children's Literature Conference and is currently working on a book. She has also created surface designs for the Potluck Club.
